The year 2000 marked not only the dawn of a new Millennium, but a promising new era for the game of golf itself. As River Oaks Golf Plantation continues its second decade in the golf industry, we look forward to upholding the time-honored traditions of golf's rich heritage while at the same time embracing new traditions that make the game more affordable and accessible for a broad spectrum of people to enjoy. River Oaks Golf Plantation is dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our guests and members by providing a quality golf facility, outstanding service and superior value. We are also committed to improving the quality of life for those that live and work in the community we serve. Our dedicated co-workers, representing some of the most talented professionals in the golf industry, work diligently every day to achieve this objective.
As stewards of golf's future, we are honored to play our role in managing River Oaks Golf Plantation and work alongside the United States Golf Association, PGA of America, PGA Tour, Ladies Professional Golf Association, First Tee, Tiger Woods Foundation and other industry groups in writing the next chapter of golf's storied history. The 27 beautiful holes of River Oaks Golf Plantation are located on the site of a former nature preserve. The three nines feature tree-lined, mounded fairways, undulating bermuda greens. This challenging course was rated in the Top Five on the Grand Strand by Golf Course Rankings of America. The quiet and seclusion make it hard to believe that the Myrtle Beach Jetport is only five minutes away, and that downtown Myrtle Beach is only seven minutes away. Yet, just a short drive over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge brings you to a golfer's sanctuary, where mornings are spent chasing birdies and afternoons are spent in search of eagles.
Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort is located in Myrtle Beach, just a few steps away from one of the most scenic stretches of beach on the East Coast and close to water parks, shopping, restaurants and attractions.
